Vadodara: Two houses in different areas of the city were broken into in broad daylight on Wednesday. Suresh Patel, a resident of Waghodia-Dabhoi Ring Road, told the police that an unidentified person broke into his house on Wednesday afternoon and escaped with cash and ornaments worth Rs 1.64 lakh. In another similar incident, thieves broke in the house of Sanket Shah, a resident of Harni Road, and fled with gold ornaments worth Rs 44,000 and cash amounting to Rs 40,000. The complaints of burglary were registered by the victims at Panigate and Harni police stations.TNN
