Vadodara: Rail traffic between Vadodara and Mumbai was disrupted on Wednesday evening after power engine of a goods train failed.

The engine which was coming from Surat side failed at around 5.35 pm between Makarpura and Viswamitri railway station. Due to this, around seven trains were running late by over an hour. A special engine was rushed to the spot to replace the power engine of the goods train. The rail traffic could be restored only at 7 pm.

The trains that got delayed down line from Mumbai to Vadodara included Paschim Express, Suryanagri Express, Garib Rath Express, Mumbai-Ahmedabad Double Decker Express and Karnavati Express.
