Vadodara: The Panchmahal police recovered a stash of liquor near the house a sarpanch’s son in Godhra taluka on Friday. They liquor was stored in a hut near the house of Pravin Vanzara, son of Chanchelav village sarpanch, Raga Vanzara. Acting on a tip-off, the police recovered 216 quarter bottles of whiskey and 240 beer tins from the spot.

Pravin and another accused Zaver Vanzara escaped from the spot during the raid. The liquor is valued at nearly Rs 52,800 and the Godhra taluka police has registered an offence.
