VADODARA: The razing teams of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) faced resistance when they started a razing drive in the Gorwa area of the city on Monday evening. One worker was injured in the scuffle that took place. The incident took place at the Madhunagar crossroads near the Gorwa-Navayard railway overbridge.

The teams were trying to remove some shades and other small structures on the road. They were also lifting handcarts and cabins operating there.”A few stones were pelted injuring an employee. But the situation was brought under control and we resumed the drive,” said Dr Mangesh Jaiswal, VMC’s director of encroachment removal and security.
