VADODARA: The opposition Congress councillors raised the issue of water woes in the Navayard and nearby areas during the budget meeting of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) on Saturday.

Councillors from the area Pushpa Waghela and Jaha Bharwad pointed out that the water was being supplied in the afternoon. This, they said, used to cause inconvenience to the residents. They added that the supply was erratic and with low pressure.

The councillors were informed by the VMC commissioner that the civic body was in the process of adopting the SCADA system for monitoring of its water supply network. This, he said, would ensure that such issues were taken care of.
