Vadodara: Police are yet to find the two prisoners who escaped from the SSG Hospital’s prison ward on Tuesday morning.

A police official said that they have sent a team of cops to the villages of Raju Ninama and Sabur Damor in Dahod.

The police suspect that the duo would have escaped to Kharoda village, Ninama’s native as Damor, who is at an advanced stage of tuberculosis, does not have family members.

The duo had escaped on Tuesday morning after cutting iron bars of the ward’s toilet window. Cops had found a sharp weapon outside the window of toilet.

Two police constables who were holding charge of the ward were arrested for negligence in duty.
