VADODARA: Anand-based B N Patel Institute of Paramedical and Science, managed by Sardar Patel Education Trust, has won the national education excellence (NEE) award 2017 at the tenth ASSOCHAM Higher Education Summit 2017 recently held at Delhi.
The summit was organised in collaboration with the Association of Indian University, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Ministry of Science and Technology, Services Export Promotion Council and Make in India.
The institute was felicitated with the title ‘Best higher education of the year – west zone’ by Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar.
From over 358 contesting educational institutions, of which, 49 were presented at the event, B N Patel Institute of Paramedical and Science was chosen for this prestigious award.
Standing fit on variety of guidelines and parameters such as innovation, scalability, ability to overcome challenges, achievements and impactful pedagogy – set by the nomination and selection committee, awards were distributed among the contesting bodies.
Among the dignitaries present for this programme were many vice chancellors and officials of the University Grants Commission.
B N Patel Institute was the only college to win this award in the domain of paramedical sciences. The institute also has signed MoUs with all the leading hospitals of Gujarat, corporates hospitals and trust-governed medical facilities.
In lieu of this achievement, the award was received by Bhikhubhai Patel, managing trustee and secretary of Sardar Patel Education Trust, Mrudula Patel, joint secretary along with professor Arpita Arora, director of paramedical institution.
