Vadodara: The Gorwa police on Monday booked a resident of Subhanpura under IPC 429 for killing a two-year-old dog. Ajay Trivedi had thrown the dog off the second floor as it used to defecate and urinate outside his apartment daily. Angry over the incident, Trivedi’s neighbours had called Samir Soni, an animal activist who called the police.

Trivedi, who works as a salesman in a private firm, had apologized after the police arrived and his wife had requested Soni to not file complaint.

Soni didn’t file FIR and instead asked Trivedi to submit an apology letter to the police. “Trivedi had accepted in his apology letter that he threw the dog from second floor of his apartment in anger. Then why was he allowed to go scot-free without being punished? I learnt about the incident on Monday morning following which I approached the police and filed a complaint against Trivedi,” said animal activist, Neha Patel.

“Letting off a person, who killed a dog, with just an apology letter would set a bad precedent. The police have promised to take action in the case,” Patel said.

Trivedi had also told the police that after throwing the puppy, he had paid money to a sweeper of the civic body to dispose of the carcass. He had promised that he will never ever do such a thing and will help the NGO in future for welfare of animals.

When you start rating a bus station as the best in the country and give wide publicity then it should meet the high standards laid out. More than half of the shops are empty. The place is much better than before but much needs to be done.

The parking is Good. But There is no proper lighting in the parking area. Pus cleanliness could be a shade better. The shops are average with practically no clientele. The escalator works. The food court is also good..

Clean and Posh Bus stand I have ever visited
Good food, cinema, Some shops for kids & for all the people. Can't imagine that such an awesome creative work also made for the Bus stop.
Interconnective bridge also there for going to Railway station directly.
Washroom also clean & hygienic.

For someone who is coming from outside Vadodara will be shocked to know that this hotel cum mall type looking structure is also a Bus Station. I actually had to go ask someone 3 times where is the bus stop despite he telling me that, this in front of you is the stop. I thought it must be behind this structure. The place is well maintained, clean and spacious unlike the traditional bus stations. It has an hotel, multiplex, shopping arena and a few things even I didn't get time to observe.
