VADODARA: Women councillors of the ruling BJP continued to target opposition councillor and Congress women’s wing president Ami Ravat for the second consecutive day on Saturday during the budget meet.

Ravat had been trying to raise key issues pertaining to the budget and overall civic development. But the BJP women councillors would not allow her to speak. The councillors wanted Ravat to apologise for remarks she had made against the mayor earlier.

Ravat had recently alleged that there were irregularities in the housing schemes for the urban poor coming up on a public-private partnership mode. This did not go down well with the BJP as she had hinted at the mayor also being responsible for the situation.
