VADODARA: Three days after he was allegedly kidnapped, the city police are yet to get any clues in the case.

A 59-year-old doctor staying in Fatehgunj area had registered a complaint of kidnapping against unidentified persons three days ago.

Dr Rajesh Vyas had told the Gorwa police that he was kidnapped by the accused near his clinic on the pretext of attending to a patient on Thursday night.

The accused then thrashed Vyas and took him around the city in a car.

Vyas was taken to a construction site where the accused demanded Rs 50 lakh ransom from him. When Vyas expressed inability to pay the money, the accused stabbed his leg with a knife.

Vyas was then abandoned in Chhani area following which he contacted his family. The police said that it is examining the CCTV footage to track down the car in which Vyas was kidnapped.
