Vadodara: The police filed an affidavit in court on Tuesday opposing the bail application of notorious gangster Aslam Sheikh alias Aslam Bodiyo. The police in the affidavit said that Bodiyo was absconding since they had seized Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 1.81 lakh from the SUV he was travelling in, on December 21 last year. Opposing his bail, police said that Bodiyo has been arrested number of times in various crimes and was also detained under Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (PASA), yet he was involved in many cases. Bodiyo was arrested by DCB sleuths from his house on February 9.TNN
