Vadodara: An unidentified person opened fire on a team of policemen who were carrying out a combing in Chakalia village of Dahod district on Tuesday night. However, nobody was injured in the firing.

Police said that they were conducting operation near Chakalia village on Gujarat-Madhya Pradesh border to nab bootleggers and burglars. Dahod superintendent of police Manoj Ninama said that around 100 policemen were deployed in the area to nab the criminals.

“We had deployed different teams of cops when someone opened fire. Luckily, no one was injured,” said Ninama. He added that there was also some stone pelting incidents in which some cops received minor injuries.TNN
