Vadodara: Ten people were injured when a state transport bus carrying them turned over near Tuva village in Godhra taluka on Sunday afternoon.

The incident took place when the bus was travelling from Ahmedabad to Dahod. A major tragedy was avoided as there were only a few persons in the bus. The driver of the bus is believed to have lost control while trying to avoid collision with some other vehicle.

The bus fell on its side and those travelling in it suffered minor injuries. Local residents rushed to the spot on seeing the accident and broke the windshield of the bus to bring the passengers out. The injured persons were rushed to Godhra Civil Hospital for treatment in EMRI 108 ambulances.
